About the event
Discover the Magic of Winter in Art
Join art historian Tania Harrington for a captivating journey through the beauty, mystery, and emotion of winter as seen through the eyes of great artists. From Bruegel’s bustling snow scenes to the shimmering light of Pissarro and Sorolla, and the expressive modernism of Gabrielle Münter and Winifred Nicholson, this talk explores how artists have captured the chill, charm, and quiet wonder of the season — including a selection of evocative Nativity scenes.
The session includes a 50-minute illustrated talk, followed by refreshments, and then a further 40-minute presentation with time for questions and discussion.
Refreshments will be available and proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards registered charity Anteros Arts Foundation (No. 1135692).
