Exhibit at Anteros

Anyone with connections in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire may apply to exhibit at Anteros.


Staff work closely with local artists to enable them to present a professional standard exhibition. We can offer additional support to those who need it; this may be help with the design and distribution of physical and/or digital marketing, hanging artwork, curating the exhibition and more.

The Anteros Curation Committee is responsible for selecting the exhibitions that take place. The committee comprises of management staff and a trustee representative. Meetings take place every two to three months.

 

Together the committee assess applications using the following criteria:

 

Will the artwork sell?

Will the artist or artworks bring new audiences to Anteros?

Will the show benefit a school or educational organisation?

Could an informational experience be delivered alongside this show? 

(examples: practical workshop, lecture, written guide/trail, meet the artist)

What effect will this show have on Anteros’ reputation?

​In the view of the committee, applications must answer yes to at least one, preferably two of the first four questions listed above.

£250 for two weeks

These prices include:

Tailored assistance with the exhibition installation on the Monday before opening.
Late open view for invited guests and public from 5:30 - 8:00pm* on the first Thursday following installation.

Marketing on Instagram, Twitter and our Facebook page to over 1,800 followers.

Marketing through our mailing list with over 2,700 addresses.
Support in offering educational content within our opening hours during your exhibition.

Anteros staff manage sales and enquiries, taking a 25% commission on artwork sales. 

 
*Due to coronavirus precautions, numbers in the Main Gallery are currently limited to 8 households at a time.  In the Front Room, numbers are limited to 3 households.    A continuous one-way flow of visitors throughout the two gallery spaces and using reception, the glassroom, courtyard and bar will be implemented throughout the event.

A note on dates: Successful applicants will be offered a two-week exhibition at a time suggested by the committee. Dates are likely to be offered to coincide with, or to avoid clashes with, other events and activities going on at Anteros or in Norwich at that time. 
If you have a strong preference as to when you would like your exhibition to take place please mention this in your application and your wishes will be taken into account.

The Anteros Arts Foundation does not intend for the cost of hire to present a barrier to exhibitors. If the cost of hire cannot be met, we ask exhibitors to still complete an application form and we will do our best to include and support your exhibition where possible.
