The Merfolk of East Anglia: A Quest for their Meaning and Magic


Come and meet some of the merfolk of East Anglia and allow yourself to be lured in by their images and their stories which fascinate and inspire those who observe and listen to them. In this talk, Val will lead you on a quest of exploration to the churches, village signs, coastlines, meres and fens where these mysterious beings are to be found. Dare to look into the mermaid’s mirror, see a flash of bright scales and glimpse the magic of the merfolk for yourself. You never know where it might lead.


Val Thomas has long been enchanted by the magic of the Earth, the seasons and the natural world, researching our relationship with the powerful forces and spiritual beings within the landscape. Val is an author, craftsperson and herbalist, and her books…
