About the event

In 2019, the time capsule buried in 1979 by Stumpy Sanderson and his mischievous gang of working-class boys was unearthed. Within this capsule were not only Stumpy’s short stories about the gang’s japes, scrapes and capers they had got up to and into during the 1970s, but also an old Memorex cassette containing 33 of his bizarre songs that he had bashed out on acoustic guitar. Then, in 2023 a second time capsule was discovered containing further stories and 22 more songs.

Join Norfolk storyteller and singer/songwriter, Andrew Brammer, in a musical offshoot of his highly successful storytelling shows. Listen to the extraordinary songs of Stumpy Sanderson, and the anecdotes and memories behind them; material described by some as a surreal cross between The Stranglers, Lou Reed, and Leonard Cohen.

Over the years Andrew has played many times to full audiences at this venue, as well as performing…
