Sgraffito Coaster Making With Charlie

Sgraffito is the art of scratching through a slip or underglaze on green ware (unfired pottery) to reveal the surface underneath. The design is created through contrast.

You will be decorating a set of three square coasters, painted in a black underglaze, ready for carving.

The workshop is inclusive of all materials and firing. Charlie will bring a selection of glaze swatches so you can choose a colour for your coasters.

Charlie will take the coasters away for firing, and will let you know when they are ready for collection from Anteros in about 4-6 weeks.

Please bring any books, photographs or drawings along for inspiration.
