About the event
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the creative and sustainable art of junk journaling, turning found and recycled materials, such as event and travel memories, into beautiful, personal works of art.
You’ll learn how to construct your own journal from scratch using simple bookbinding techniques, and discover ways to layer textures, images, and text to document memories, or simply play with colour and composition.
Whether you're a seasoned artist or total beginner, this course will guide you through collage methods, mindful journaling practices, and embellishment ideas to help you create a truly unique keepsake or memory journal using everyday items.
Taught by Laura Donaldson-Davidson, an experienced arts facilitator and event organiser, this course blends creativity, reuse, and reflection. Laura has hosted craft workshops from Germany to Mexico and London, and since 2020 also across Norfolk. She is passionate about making art accessible, expressive, and joyful.
