About the event
WEDNESDAY 24TH JUNE | 10.30-12.30PM
A fun, friendly introduction to creative writing, suitable for anyone from beginners wanting to get started with storytelling to writers looking to hone their craft.
This taster session will explore the basics of writing prose fiction: how to create a convincing character, what makes effective dialogue, how to bring a setting to life and how to fully inhabit a character’s perspective. You’ll look at examples from bestselling writers, breaking down their techniques, and have plenty of opportunity to put these skills into practice through writing exercises.
Led by editor and experienced creative writing teacher Bethany Wright, this class is a chance to experiment with new approaches to writing in a relaxed and supportive environment.
The class will only go ahead if a minimum number of participants has been booked.
