About the event
SUNDAY 9TH AUGUST | 10.30-1PM
Step into the shimmering world of Impressionist portraiture, where light dances, colour breathes, and brushstrokes whisper with immediacy. Inspired by masters such as Monet, Renoir, Morisot, and Cassatt, this workshop delves into the movement’s revolutionary approach to capturing mood over detail, atmosphere over accuracy. After exploring the ideas and artworks that transformed modern painting, you’ll create your own Impressionist‑inspired portrait: beginning with a lively acrylic underpainting before building soft, luminous layers in oils and Liquin. Expect a joyful, expressive session that celebrates spontaneity, colour harmony, and the beauty of the moment. All abilities welcome.
