Clowning for Adults

Explore your connection to your inner playfulness with a group of up to twelve other adults in this gentle Clowning Around Afternoon, facilitated by poet-clown Iona May-zing. Using movement, games and a variety of hats, Iona will encourage you to explore what it is like to be yourself, in front of an audience, and without a plan!

Everyone is welcome, no previous experience required.

Iona has been learning about clowning for the past eleven years and has been facilitating clowning workshops for the past two years. She is in the process of completing Clowning Facilitator Training with Nose to Nose. She has performed parts of her poetry collection, Breaking Down Loudly, as a one-woman show about grief and friendship, including a show at The Garage and at the Alma Theatre in Bristol. With a background in Primary and Secondary teaching, her facilitation style is gentle, clear, and fun.
