About the event
To celebrate Women’s History Month, this workshop will encourage you to think about and represent women who are meaningful in your life through the simple but effective process of collage.
Your tutor will be the artist Liz Monahan, whose exhibition - Life in Pictures - is currently showing at Anteros. You’ll meet Liz before the workshop for an informal guided tour of the show, where there will be an opportunity to gather ideas and inspiration for the workshop.
During the class, you'll make a selection of textured papers, which you will then use to design and create your own collaged portrait. With a relaxed and friendly approach, Liz will guide you through the techniques involved in collaging and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss processes. No previous experience is necessary and all materials will be provided.
