As part of National Marine Week, join Sarah Collier for a fun workshop on Beachcombing Art. We will start by looking at what should be on a beach: shells, stones and other natural materials and have a go at describing and drawing them. What happens to materials, such as glass, after they have spent time in the sea?
Then we will focus on what shouldn’t be in the sea but increasingly is: plastic. What effect is this having on our oceans? What can we do about it? Using recycled plastic, we will model different sea creatures to highlight what is happening to our oceans.
