This is a 4 day mouldmaking and casting course on these dates:
Tuesday 3rd of December 3-5pm
Thursday 5th of December 3-5pm
Tuesday 10th of December 3-5pm
Thursday 12th of December 3-5pm
This class is concerned with repetition and three-dimensional form. Plaster, alginate, paraffin wax and concrete will all be used to create sculptures and installation pieces. Chrissy will cover mould making terminology and techniques and students will gain confidence discussing their work and ideas. Students will learn to select appropriate media based on strength, plasticity and texture.
Tutor: Chrissy Leech
Chrissy Leech gained a BA in Fine Art in 2015 at Norwich University of the Arts and was awarded a scholarship for post graduate study, gaining an MA in Fine Art in 2016. She has been investigating the use of concrete in sculpture recently, but uses a variety of materials to achieve the desired outcome.
She lives and works from her studio in Norwich
