This creative workshop will introduce you to the fun and versatile medium ink. We will explore ink drawing using a range drawing tools such as sticks, dip pens, brushes and sponges. You will learn how to create a range of marks and textures to create a visual language to draw with. You will use these marks and lines to create your own simple ink drawing of a natural object or landscape.
Ink – Drawing ink preferred
4-5 Brushes in different sizes
Stick or dip pen
Cartridge drawing paper and or mixed media drawing paper
It could be a good idea to have a variety of foliage to work from to practice different markmaking, if unable there will also be images on screen.
Tutor: Rebecca Mills
Rebecca Mills is an experienced art tutor and qualified teacher who has taught a range of creative arts subjects to all ages, such as drawing, painting, photography and digital art. Rebecca has a BA (Hons) Graphic Design/Illustration and has worked as both a Graphic Designer and freelance Illustrator, creating artworks for greeting cards, giftware and magazines. Her work combines both hand drawn and digital methods and incorporates a range of mediums including collage, ink, pen, pencil and paint.
