Thursday mornings 10am - 12pm from 31st October to 28th November.
Thursday 31st October:
Lesson 1 - Accuracy and Observation
Learn to measure proportions e.g. using a pencil/kebab stick.
Draw the figure in a variety of ways including the 'stick man' approach and contour drawing.
Thursday 7th November:
Lesson 2 - Light and Tone
Learn how the shapes of shadows can be used to describe figures.
Practice using a range of media to create strong tonal drawings.
Thursday 14th November:
Lesson 3 - Hands and Feet
Explore, in detail, the structure of hands and feet and how lines of different strength and quality can be used to create expression.
Thursday 21st November:
Lesson 4 - The Face
Learn techniques to render a portrait, which offers a good likeness.
Thursday 28th November:
Lesson 5 - Space and Movement
Take the figure as a starting point from which to create fairly abstract drawings conveying movement, exploring ways of anchoring the figure in space.
