This technique involves arranging dry glass elements and fusing them to create tactile works of art which use light to great effect.

  • Consider glass art in general with reference to contemporary artists.

  • Develop an understanding of how kiln firing can be used to shape as well as colour glass plates.

  • Understand the possibilities and limitations of working with fused glass

  • Appreciate the use of light, transparency and opacity when working with glass and consider the best way to exhibit/present different glass sculptures.
