A two day course taking place over a fortnight. Timings are 10am to 3pm each day on Friday 15th and Friday 29th November.
Lesson 1 - Develop ideas from a limited choice of figurative and landscape photographs.
Learn to paint a soft-wash ground and work acrylics onto damp paper.
Learn to make and use silver drawings and use this technique to generate ethereal imageand provoke ideas.
Lesson 2 - Develop ideas from natural forms.
Reference artisan church carving and artwork by Georgia O'Keefe, Henri Matisse and Karl Blossfeldt.
Take a detailed look at 'light' as it appears in bubbles, water, prisms, glass vessels and x ray films
Use a limited palette to make detailed studies of a series of similar objects.
