Spring 2020 Competition Terms & Conditions

The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of Anteros Arts Foundation and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.

 

Entry to the competition should be through the relevant form. Entries submitted via email or post will not be considered. 

 

No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

 

Closing date for all entries will be 30th June 2020. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

 

The winner of the art course must redeem their prize within the 2020/21 syllabus (scheduled to run from September 2020 to March 2021 but is subject to change bearing in mind the current situation regarding COVID-19). 

 

The winner of the Professional Artist category will run their own exhibition in the Front Room gallery at Anteros Arts Foundation during 2021. Before submitting your artwork, you should be aware that you will need to have sufficient artworks of a high enough standard in order to hold your exhibition next year. These will need to be framed or presented to a good standard. The competition winner will need to complete one of our standard gallery application forms before holding their exhibition. The dates and other details of the exhibtion (pricing, hanging, marketing etc.) will be decided by mutual agreement between the winner and the Anteros gallery team. Competition winners will also be required to sign our exhibition contract, an example of which can be read here. Please note Anteros takes 25% commission on any artworks sold during exhibitions. 

 

Prizes are as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.The prizes are not transferable. 

 

Winners will be selected by the Anteros gallery team. The winner will be notified by email within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

 

The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

 

The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

 

The winner’s name will be available 28 days after closing date by emailing the following address: enquiries@anteros.co.uk

 

Anteros’ decision as to those able to take part and selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.

 

Anteros shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.

 

Anteros also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
