Anteros Arts Foundation prides itself in offering consistently high quality creative art skills, taught by practicing artist educators.
Classes cover a wide range of skills including oil and watercolour painting, sculpture, photography, spray-painting, printing, bookbinding and art theory.

Oil Painting: Old Masters' Techniques and Contemporary Implementations
Every Tuesday evening from May 18th - June 15th, 5.30pm - 8pm
In this introductory oil painting course, taught over 5 sessions, Sophia Shuvalova teaches painting the human form from life.
Sophia Shuvalova is an artist, curator and art teacher. Having graduated in Fine Art from Norwich University of the Arts she refined her multidisciplinary Fine Art practice and regularly exhibits in Norwich, Cambridge and London. Her repertoire includes both traditional and experimental approaches. Currently Sophia is exploring a range of media, from oil on canvas and silverpoint drawing to installation and textile work. She holds a studio at Outpost Studios, Norwich. Having worked as a curator for established organisations such as Norfolk County Council Sophia founded Em-Re-Un; a contemporary arts organisation specialising in production of multidisciplinary exhibitions and events. She has several years of teaching experience working both with children and adult learners.
Mixed Media Drawing and Painting - 4 Sessions

This class will be held online via Zoom
Learn more about materials, techniques and mixing different mediums on this exciting short course of four online sessions. You will discover how to mix dry and wet media effectively and explore pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolour ink and gouache in the process. Each session takes a look at some combinations and techniques that compliment each medium. You will be encouraged to experiment with your preferred mediums and create a mixed media artwork for a class project.
This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to explore and experiment with media, both beginners and those with some experience of drawing and painting. Please bring all the art materials you have as we will be mixing them all. However the minimum suggested materials are below:
Mixed Media Sketchbook/Paper
Brushes of different sizes
Set of pencils B grades
Colouring pencils and/or crayons
Charcoal and/or soft pastels
Watercolour and/or Inks
Sponge or rag
Session one - Introduction to mixed media and materials
Session two - Exploring dry media combinations and techniques
Session three - Exploring with and dry media combinations and techniques
Session four - Collage with drawing and painting
Tutor: Rebecca Mills
Rebecca Mills is an experienced art tutor and qualified teacher who has taught a range of creative arts subjects to all ages, such as drawing, painting, photography and digital art. Rebecca has a BA (Hons) Graphic Design/Illustration and has worked as both a Graphic Designer and freelance Illustrator, creating artworks for greeting cards, giftware and magazines. Her work combines both hand drawn and digital methods and incorporates a range of mediums including collage, ink, pen, pencil and paint.
